Mimi has a great deal of experience helping people become more aware of their values, needs and goals. As a result, developing your new self-image flows along a more natural course.

Professional Biography

Mimi Licht, LICSW, BCD has been assisting people cope with stress, develop greater self-awareness and achieve personal goals for over 25 years, as Past Adjunct Professor and Training Supervisor of Graduate Students at Boston area universities; including Boston College, Boston University, Simmons College, Northeastern University and others.

  • Out-Patient Clinician at mental health centers and in private practice, working with thousands of individuals and families experiencing problems ranging from mild depression, anxiety and specific fears to more serious chronic mental illness, substance abuse and recovery from emotional trauma.
  • Specializing in young adult issues in the Brighton/Brookline area including intimate relationships, unresolved family conflicts and career goals, enabling many singles to develop fulfilling relationships, marry and begin families of their own.
  • Board of Trustees, Divorce Center, past member. Certified by The Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Parent Educator when children are involved. Witnessed the many potential hardships of marital breakdown.
  • Decided to establish Wisely Wed, to ensure that people are better prepared for marriage. The process of planning a wedding is an opportunity to strengthen communication skills and start married life as a winning team, growing stronger through the years.
